What Year is My Club Car® Golf Cart?

Since 1981 Club Car® Golf Carts have positioned their serial numbers just under the glove box on the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The serial number of each vehicle is printed on a bar code decal. The two letters at the beginning of the serial number “A” indicate the vehicle model. The following four digits “B” indicate the model year and production week during which the vehicle was built. The six digits “C” following the hyphen represent the unique sequential number assigned to each vehicle built within a given model year (see chart below to find your model).

This example serial number is for a (PH) Precedent 12 Excel (0901)Year-2009 made the 1st week (123456) unique number made for this particular cart.

On Club Car® Golf Carts prior to 1981, you can find the serial number by raising the seat and locating the aluminum, I-beam frame section closest to the batteries on the driver’s side of the car. If the serial number plate has been removed, you can confirm it is a 1975-1980 model if it has two brake pedals and one accelerator pedal.

What Year is My EZGO® Golf Cart?

First you will need to locate your serial number. listed below you will find the most common places EZGO has put their serial number plates as well as a comprehensive visual reference guide to help you with determining which EZGO model you have.

EZGO MEDALIST AND TXT MODELS (1994 TO PRESENT)

The serial number and manufacturer’s number for these EZGO golf cart models can be found on a plate located in the glove box on the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The serial number is either six or seven numbers and does not indicate the model year. The manufacturer’s number does reflect the model year. This series will have one letter and three or four numbers which will include two numbers indicating the last two digits of the year it was manufactured. The order of these numbers and one letter have changed several times over the years, but you should be able to figure it out. EZGO MARATHON MODELS (1976 TO 1993)

The serial number and manufacturer’s number for these EZGO golf cart models can be found on a plate located under the glove box on the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The serial number is either six or seven numbers and does not indicate the model year. The manufacturer’s number does reflect the model year. This series will ha ve on e letter and three or four numbers which will include two numbers indicating the last two digits of the year it was manufactured. EZGO GOLF CARTS (PRIOR TO 1976)

On EZGO golf carts prior to 1976, you can find the serial number plate on the fender skirt under the driver’s side seat. There is no simple formula for vehicles manufactured before 1976.
